7 Wonders of Ukraine

As part of a national campaign "7 Wonders of Ukraine: castles, fortresses, palaces," the experts chose seven
of the best castles, fortresses and 7 seven palaces.

For the title of best fortification and castle-palace complexes of Ukraine fought 138 objects.
 

Among the finalists category "Castles" are as follows:

1. Castle in Dubno (Rivne region),
   
2. Castle "Palanok" (Transcarpathian region)
   
3. Zbarazhsky Castle (Ternopil region)
   
4. Zolochiv Castle (Lviv region)
   
5. Lutsky Upper Castle (Volyn region)
   
6. Olessky Castle (Lviv region)
   
7. Uzhgorod Castle (Transcarpathian region)

Among the finalists category "Fortresses" are as following:

1. Akkerman Fortress (Odesa fortress in the Odessa area)
   
2. Genoese fortress in Sudak (Crimea)
   
3. Kamenetz-Podolsk fortress (Khmelnytsky region)
   
4. Kiev fortress
   
5. The castle in Medzhibozh (Khmelnytsky region)
   
6. Khotyn Fortress (Chernivtsi region)
   
7. Chigirinskaya castle - the residence of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy region.

Among the finalists category "Palaces" are as following:

1. Alupka (Vorontsov) Palace (Crimea)
   
2. Bakhchisarai (Khan's) Palace (Crimea)
   
3. Livadia Palace (Crimea)
   
4. Mariinsky Palace in Kiev,
   
5. Metropolichy palace at Chernovtsy
   
6. Kirill Razumovsky palace in Baturin
   
7. Kachanovsky palace in the Chernihiv region.

The initiator of the action "7 wonders of Ukraine: castles, fortresses, palaces," was Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Mykola Tomenko.
